Nathalie Freiha
Nathalie Freiha, a Lebanese Canadian dual-national, has been a member of the Beirut Bar Association since 1996. With a robust background in business law, particularly corporate and commercial law, she brings extensive expertise to her practice.
Freiha holds a Master’s in ‘Droit de l’Informatique et Informatique Juridique’ (DEA). Additionally, she earned a Certificate in Laws from the University of London, Queen Mary, specializing in International Dispute Resolution. Complementing her legal qualifications, she obtained a Certificate in Wine Business and Management from the Ecole Superieure des Affaires (ESA).
With over 13 years as Head of Corporate Practice at a prominent Lebanese law firm, Freiha honed her skills in managing complex legal matters. Her experience expanded further as General Counsel and Head of Legal for an international group of companies in the insurance broking industry. In this role, she spearheaded legal operations across diverse regions, overseeing growth initiatives and facilitating the group’s expansion in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
Freiha’s fluency in Arabic, French, and English equips her to navigate seamlessly through various jurisdictions. Her expertise extends to international markets such as the UAE, KSA, Qatar, UK, Mauritius Islands, Cyprus, and the Cayman Islands.
Her proficiency encompasses negotiation, arbitration, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), corporate governance, group restructuring, and the development of policies & procedures. Freiha also provides consultancy services to private companies and public institutions involved in infrastructure rehabilitation and contracting projects.
Dr. Maya Mansour
Dr. Mansour has been a member of the Beirut Bar Association since 2001. She holds a Ph.D. in International Law on business and human rights. She completed a Chevening Fellowship at the University of Nottingham on the implementation of human rights conventions. Furthermore, she pursued international courses at esteemed European universities, including Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg, France.
Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, Dr. Mansour’s legal expertise spans commercial, civil, and criminal law, providing regulatory advice. She has acted as legal counsel to The EuroMena Funds (private equity funds investing in the Middle East and Africa) from 2012 till 2020, as well as held the position of Partner to the General Partner (in the UK) and of the Fund Management Company (in Malta). In addition, she has acted as the funds’ Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) from 2015 till 2019.
Dr. Mansour is a certified Board Director by the International Finance Corporation and Excellence in Governance Lebanon, and she holds board memberships in several organizations.
Since 2008, she has been lecturing on human rights at Beirut Arab University and has served as a consultant to various international organizations. Her extensive portfolio includes numerous comparative studies on international law, human rights, and judiciary systems in Lebanon and the MENA Region,
In recognition of her contributions to Lebanon’s growth through human rights advocacy, Dr. Mansour was honored by the US Embassy in 2009.
